Indoor Pistol League is starting this week, on Wednesday October 9th and also Thursday October 10th.
This is a competition that runs through the winter and into the spring, shooting the NRA Bullseye Pistol course. Each week, we shoot two matches of three targets each; Slow Fire (10 rounds in 10 minutes), Timed Fire (2 strings of 5 shots, 20 seconds each string), and Rapid Fire (2 strings of 5 shots, 10 seconds each). We shoot downstairs, on our indoor range from 50 ft. Your score is the total off all three targets and you compete on your average – of all matches over the season. The gun is a 22 pistol with the optics of your choice.
Competitors shoot one night per week, choosing which night meets your schedule. Shooting starts at 6PM each night. If there are enough shooters, we will run a second line after the first completes.
The season begins with two weeks of practice. Starting Wednesday October 23rd or Thursday October 24th, the competition begins. We aim for forty match nights, with some extras scheduled for make-ups, holidays, and the hopefully-infrequent snow day.
If you’re new to the league, please come to one of the practice nights to see what it is all about. The league is open to members and non-members.
